The Future of the Taliban Regime: Stability or Collapse?

Since taking power, the Taliban have imposed strict rules, banned women from education and work, and pushed millions of Afghans to flee or resist. Unemployment and poverty have soared, and no country has recognized their rule. While unknown aircraft continue targeting Al-Qaeda and Daesh fighters, many wonder: Will the Taliban survive?

Security Threats & Challenges

However, global priorities like the war in Ukraine and climate crises have shifted the West’s focus away from Afghanistan, leaving the Taliban to govern largely unchallenged.
